A word for us, today…

What makes an athlete different from each other? The bible tells us in 1 Cor 9:24 “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it.” Then in v26 of the same chapter it reads, “So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air.” What are you aiming at? I once read what make an athlete different from each other is where they have begun to believe to win. It read that to win a race is to believe during the practice that “I can win.” Where have you begun to believe? Any race is made up with challenges, but whoever’s mind is on the winning, the overcoming; the life challenges becomes the opportunity to rise up, to prove to oneself that I can do it, that I can rise up. So wherever you are right now, set your mind on believing that you can win, that you can overcome and don’t look at the challenge as your oppressive stone, but as your stepping stone.
